Jade Leaf – Organic Japanese Matcha Green Tea Powder, Premium Ceremonial Grade (For Sipping as Tea) – [30g Tin]

We believe that organic matcha green tea is a great addition to a healthy lifestyle. What often makes this tough is that authentic Japanese matcha (especially the organic variety) tends to be very expensive. So we set out to partner directly with the best organic farms in Japan, and the result has become our brand, Jade Leaf Matcha. We promise to offer the highest quality organic Japanese matcha at a fair price, so that you too can add it to your own healthy lifestyle.FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONSWhat is matcha?Matcha is premium green tea powder from Japan used for drinking as tea or as an ingredient in recipes. While other green teas are grown throughout the world, matcha is unique to Japan. What grade of matcha is this, and how do I use it?This is Premium Ceremonial Grade, our absolute HIGHEST quality offering! It is meant to be prepared as tea. The traditional preparation is to simply whisk the Matcha powder with hot water, then enjoy.Does it contain caffeine?Yes, each half-teaspoon (1g) serving contains roughly 34mg of caffeine, about 1/3 a cup of coffee. However, Matcha also contains L-Theanine, which has a calming and leveling affect, so it doesn’t make you feel jittery or wired like coffee does. What are other health benefits? It is rich in nutrients, antioxidants, fiber and chlorophyll. The health benefits of matcha exceed those of other green teas because matcha drinkers ingest the whole leaf, not just the brewed water. One glass of matcha is the equivalent of 10 glasses of green tea in terms of nutritional value and antioxidant content. What’s the difference between Culinary and Ceremonial grades?Simple: Culinary grades are meant for mixing into recipes as an ingredient, while Ceremonial grades are meant to be prepared traditionally as a tea (just mixed with hot water and whisked). Culinary grades are more affordable for day to day use, making them easy to fit the health benefits of matcha into your diet. Can I still use Ceremonial grades in recipes?Of course! Many iced tea and cocktail recipes even specifically call for Ceremonial grade matcha. What if I don’t like it?If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase for any reason, just email us and we’ll refund your order in full, no questions asked.TRADITIONAL CEREMONIAL MATCHA PREPARATIONStep 1Place the sifter over the bowl, then measure out two scoops of matcha (about a half teaspoon total) into it.Use the bamboo scoop to sift the matcha down into the bowl. To your health and wellbeing!
