Think Matcha, Ceremonial Matcha Green Tea (Uji, Japan) 40g Tin
Our Matcha tea’s main production location for Tencha is in Uji, Japan. We also have our tea plants tested each year for any contaminants. The official testing report in on our website. *Ceremonial Matcha has less caffeine- A typical 8-ounce Matcha tea or Matcha latte uses about 1 gram of Matcha, it should have about 35 milligrams of caffeine. An 8-ounce cup of coffee, in contrast, has about 100 milligrams of caffeine. *Since Ceremonial Matcha tea is a powdered form of tea (ground-up by a granite stone from a special tea leaf), you’re actually eating crushed up tea leaves, rather than steeping leaves in water and drinking the infusion. With regular, loose leaf green tea, you’re only getting what’s available in the water-soluble fibers. So by actually ingesting the leaves as you do with Matcha, you get more nutrients. Our matcha tea is grown at a prestigious tea plantation in Uji Japan, and is used by many matcha tea masters (experts) around the world, such as the Urasenke Foundation that teach CHANOYU (the study of tea).
